Bonnie McNab
I trained as a podiatrist at The University of Newcastle, graduating with a Bachelor of Podiatry in 2018 and a Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) in 2020. Before moving to Canberra in 2021 I lived and practiced on the Central Coast of NSW whereby I expanded and refined skills within all facets of podiatry practice.
Committed to furthering my academic knowledge and podiatry skillset, I am currently undertaking a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) which I am hoping to complete in the next few years.
In my spare time you’ll find me reading, recreational running, gardening, cooking, drawing or being out in nature by bushwalking or camping.
I’m an enthusiastic and experienced podiatrist who provides a patient-centred approach with a genuine, kind and caring attitude to all of my patients. I offer an evidence-based approach to treatment including individualised treatment plans. I have a strong understanding of cultural, social and emotional intelligence and pride myself on my ability to analyse and evaluate situations from a holistic perspective.
- Ingrown nail treatments including toenail bracing, wedge removal and surgeries (PNAs and TNAs).
- Wart treatments including Swift Microwave Therapy.
- Corns, calluses and toenail conditions such as fungal and thickened toenails.
- Plantar heel pain including plantar fasciitis and heel spurs.
- Diabetic foot care including assessments and education – Bonnie’s Honours thesis was focused on the diabetic foot.
Bonnie has also completed additional training in: advanced taping of the foot and ankle, shockwave therapy for musculoskeletal injuries, medical dissection & suturing.
